Import centre Alan Williams again proved his worth. His third game back from a knee injury showing the 203cm hadn’t lost his touch, 21 points and 13 rebounds, the standout performance of the night.

Phoenix captain Mitch Creek (20 points, six rebounds) was at his best, with Will Cummings (16 points), Gary Browne (18 points, eight assists) also influential.
Ben Ayre’s claims for Sixth Man of the Year were enhanced, with another 10 points from 18 minutes, earning high praise from head coach Mike Kelly post-match.
The Phoenix motored in the first half, posting 60 points to the main break with Cummings the spearhead with 16 points.
And while the home side got out to as much as a 26-point lead, the Breakers clawed their way back into the contest on the back of Parker Jackson-Cartwright’s monstrous night (33 points, eight assists).
But some tactical coaching moves to rotate between a small five in search of stops kept the Breakers out of the game, handing the Phoenix yet another vital win.
The Phoenix now focus on a double header for round 6 with starting on the road to Brisbane on Thursday night.

Big Problem
The man known as ‘Sauce’ continues to fire it up at the Fire Pit in his return from injury. He finished the night with his second double-double, but was also the light for the Phoenix for the fire they needed in the fourth quarter.
Snazzy Gary
Gary Browne continues to show his slick moves, helping his teammates offensively with eight assists. His highlights included a nice drop for Gorjok Gak’s alley oop. His assist-crown from last season looks well in sight for a second-straight year.
